STRENGTH QUESTS ASSIGNMENT

My top five signature themes from the Strengths Finder report were Restorative, Achiever, Learner, Responsibility and Connectedness. I would like others to recognize me as a responsible and connected person. I love to take ownership in things I commit myself in and I love knowing that I will also depend on other people’s ideas and input in achieving my goals. At my time at Agnes Scott, I want to learn to become even more restorative by engaging in activities that require me to use my problem-solving skills. In doing so, I want to take part in activities that help women in the society by giving them a chance to take part in social activities and encourage them to make changes in the community. In creating women leaders, I think the world will become a better place as many women are not given a chance to take part in social or even economic activities. For example, In Tanzania the number of educated women is very low because most girls are discouraged to go to school and even if they do, they are discouraged to take science subjects. In addressing this issue, I want to acquire all the skills that women at Agnes Scott use to empower others for example providing counsel and workshops that includes women by giving them a chance to solve problems in their community. For me to achieve in this project, I want to talk to some of my professors who work with women in their community to tell me about their projects and if possible ask to take part in them. This will help me get a real-life experience and even a mentor who will help me throughout my time at Agnes Scott. I also want to learn from my fellow peers about their projects and the approach they use to achieve their goals.
